Share the Love Mini Quilt

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  I just wanted to give you a quick update and let you know about my new pattern Share the Love!

This mini quilt is a little advent calendar made up of folded fabric envelopes that are appliqued on to a fabric panel.  I am so excited to use mine as we count down the days to Valentine's Day!  I am using mine to put little messages each day about how we can share love with others, and to hold little love notes and treats for the family.  The full color PDF pattern is available now in my shop here for only $5, and it is a quick and easy quilt to complete!

This was my fabric pull for my version (which I'll be finishing today).  I'm using the reds as the outer fabric and the creams for the lining.

I love the little surprise of the fabric inside!

I'll make sure to post more pictures once I have my quilt all assembled and bound.

I'd love to see your finished Share the Love Mini Quilts!  You can share with me on Instagram by using #sharethelovequilt or by emailing me at!

Valentine's Day Project Roundup

It's time for a roundup again and this one features some of my favorite Valentine's Day inspired DIY projects.  Let's dive right in!

I created this Love Note Mailbox tutorial a couple years ago and it remains one of my favorite projects!  I still use it to stash and send little notes to my family and we love checking the mail and finding goodies inside!

And what mailbox would be complete without some love letters to go inside?  Here are some ideas for some DIY envelopes you can make!

This tutorial for Love Note Valentine's Day Bunting by Flamingo Toes is so cute!  I think I'm making this one this year!

Allison Harris of Cluck Cluck Sew created this free heart block tutorial and it is so versatile!

You can use it to make a heart quilt, like Allison does here . . .

or make a mini quilt with different heart sizes, which she provides a free pattern for here . . . .

or you can follow my tutorial for the Lots of Love Table Runner!

The possibilities with this one are endless!

This Ruffled Heart Wreath tutorial is a great way to add a little love to your home decor right as you walk in the door!

I created this Hugs and Kisses quilt tutorial a couple years ago for the Moda Bakeshop using Sandy Gervais's Rambling Rose fabric.

If you need a little Valentine's decor around the house, these cute heart pillows are perfect!

Vanessa Goerzten of Lella Boutique made this Open Heart quilt pattern to showcase her Olive's Flower Market fabric and it is just gorgeous!

The pattern is available here for purchase.

This Encircled Love table topper is just adorable!  Such a great way to add a little Valentine's Day flair to your space and it's a free pattern!

If you are looking for a quick, easy, and functional project then the I Heart Hexagons pincushion is perfect!  It also has a bonus project for little handmade heart beanbags.

This Big Love quilt by Modern Handcraft is so beautiful and looks like a breeze to make!  And it's a free pattern with a full tutorial; even better!

Hopefully this post gives you some ideas of where to start when creating for the big day of love!  Be sure to share any finished projects from this post with me via email or on Instagram by tagging me @sewinlovehandmade.  I'd love to see what your working on and where your creativity leads you!
